Nag Panchami 2022: 2079, Nepali and Indian people celebrate the Festival, which falls on Shrawan Shukla Panchami according to the lunar calendar.

In order to commemorate the occasion, adoration is offered to the snake god Naag, and an image is pasted over the home’s front door.

The family is said to be protected from snakes, scorpions, fire, and lightning by pasting the image of the snake deity on the wall.

According to Vedic tradition, Nag is regarded as the king of snakes and Nag Pooja is thought to have originated in Vedic times.

Today, special pooja is performed in ponds and shrines around the nation, including Siddhapokhari in Bhaktapur, Nagpokhari, and Taudaha in Kathmandu, and Nagpokhari and Taudaha.

Following the ceremony, Roti, rice pudding, Akshata, Dubo grass, and cow milk are respectfully served to the serpent gods.
