The Nepal Army has been upgraded to the second position in the list of sending peacekeepers at the call of the United Nations.

The Nepal Army, which is participating in 12 UN peacekeeping missions, has risen from third to second place in the UN’s priority list.

While the United Nations is reducing the number of troops in various missions, there is a demand for more troops due to Nepal’s good working capacity, said Assistant Army Spokesperson Rathi Santosh Ballabh Poudel.

Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Ethiopia, and Rwanda are the leading countries in terms of the number of 121 countries deployed for peace in the conflict-affected countries of the world at the call of the United Nations.
