The 2nd PMC meeting on the construction of the Government of India-funded Nepal Bharat Maitri Polytechnic (NBMP) at Hetauda Today.
That happened in Nepal’s Makwanpur district has finished in Kathmandu, the country’s federal capital.
On Monday, a meeting co-chaired by Shri Satish Sivan, Joint Secretary at India’s Ministry of External Affairs, and Shri Kamal Prasad Pokhrel, Joint Secretary at Nepal’s Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, evaluated the project’s overall implementation and progress.
The PMC instructed the project’s contractor and consultant to complete the work on schedule.
Both parties agreed that the Covid epidemic had created a significant hurdle to the project’s progress, but that it has already overcome those obstacles and is nearing completion.
During the discussion, the Nepali side expressed gratitude to the Indian government for its continuous support for Nepal’s infrastructure development.
The Indian side expressed its delight at the constructive cooperation with the Nepalese government and the collaborative efforts to improve Nepal’s education infrastructure.
After the discussion, both delegations agreed that the next PMC meeting would be convened at a mutually suitable time if necessary. Sourced: Niriv
