Nepal COVID-19 death toll reached 5,215 with 214 more casualties on May 17

In the last 24 hours, 214 COVID-19 patients have reportedly died from the coronavirus pandemic.

The new deaths have brought the country’s death toll to 5,215 as of Sunday afternoon, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, Nepal has seen a total of 9,274 new cases of coronavirus infection.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 9,198 people tested positive for COVID-19 using the RT-PCR method, while 49 were positive using the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 2,346 people have tested positive for the pandemic virus in Kathmandu, 454 in Lalitpur, and 298 in Bhaktapur, bringing the total number of new coronavirus cases in the capital valley to 3,098 in the last 24 hours.

In the meantime, 5,767 people have returned home after recovering fully from COVID-19.
