Nepal government to hold local elections on May 13th

Nepal government has finally set May 13 as the date for local elections.

The election date was set at a cabinet meeting held in Singha Durbar on Monday afternoon.

The Election Commission (EC) had previously advised the administration to set May 18 as the date for municipal elections.

On the matter, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba met with KP Oli, Chairman of the CPN-UML, and Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda,” Chairman of the ruling Maoist Center.
