The Hotel after it failed to pay a royalty of over Rs 3.8 million for operating a casino.
The government owes the hotel Rs 381 million 45 thousand 664 in royalties. Despite being asked in writing several times to settle the debts, the Hotel refused to comply, causing the government to initiate action against it. Nepal Government
Prem Bahadur Ale, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation ordered it closed.
On September 5, 2010, Happy Hour received approval to operate a mini-casino at the hotel.
The casino license has also been revoked, according to Minister Ale.
According to reports, the Nepal Police Headquarters was urged in writing to close the hotel.
