The Ministry of Population and Health of Nepal (MoHP) reported 7,316 new coronavirus cases on a Sunday. This has brought the count of COVID to 455.020. Fifty-two individuals in the antigen test also tested positively for SARS-CoV-2.
Similarly, 145 COVID-19 deaths including COVID-19 Crises Management Center (CCMC) and dead body management statistics of the Nepali Army were reported in the past 24 hours by the Ministry of health.
The nationwide COVID-19 death toll was 5,001 by Sunday. On Tuesday, 225 deaths, the highest daily, were reported by the Ministry. In Nepal, there are currently 110,263 active cases.
In the past 24 hours, 2,609 cases were recorded in the three districts of Kathmandu Valley. The case recorded was 1,881 in Kathmandu, 436 cases in Lalitpur, and 292 cases in Bhaktapur, according to data from MoHP.
In the past 24 hours, up to 6,648 COVID-19 patients have recovered. As of Sunday, the data reported by the MoHP showed that a total of 339,756 people recovers from viral disease. Currently, the rate of recovery is 74.7%.
Since Sunday, the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test is carried out by a total of 2.771,020 people. There are currently 110,263 people who are isolated while another 701 in quarantine have been placed in the country.
