The House of Representatives (HoR) meeting scheduled for today has begun.
Finance Minister Janardan Sharma proposed to the House that a general debate be held on the US-funded Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact between the Nepali and US governments.
At the moment, legislators are expressing their views on MCC as the main opposition continues to obstruct.
Earlier in the day, the 1 p.m. meeting was postponed by one hour. The meeting will begin shortly after two hours.
Today, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is also scheduled to present the Annual Report of the Office of the Attorney General for 2020/21 at the HOR.
At its Sunday morning meeting, the ruling coalition reached an agreement to ratify MCC with an interpretive explanation.
