Nepal Lockdown: The COVID-19 Crisis Management Ordinance, 2078 will be severely enforced by the District Administration Office (DAO).

The DAO has stated that beginning today, it would penalize vehicles and anyone who violate the ongoing prohibitory order imposed by the Ordinance.

Those who breach the order will face a year in prison or a fine of up to Rs 500,000, or both, under the current provisions.

According to Kathmandu Chief District Officer (CDO) Kali Prasad Prarajuli, a prohibitory violation shall face both prison and the fine specified in the Ordinance.
