Nepal receives medical assistance from Australia

June 5, an Australian Defence Force special aircraft carrying critical medical supplies to aid Nepal in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in Kathmandu Nepal

The shipment of masks, gloves, and coveralls was handed over to Lieutenant General Prabhu Ram Sharma, Chief of General Staff of the Nepali Army, during a brief ceremony at the Tribhuvan International Airport by Australia’s Ambassador to Nepal, Felicity Volk.

On the occasion, a representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was also present. The Government of Nepal has expressed gratitude to the Australian Government for its valuable assistance, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
