In the last 24 hours, Nepal registered a total of 2,444 new cases of coronavirus infection.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,981 people tested positive for COVID-19 using the RT-PCR method, whereas 463 used the Antigen approach.
According to the Ministry, 980 people in Kathmandu, 221 in Lalitpur, and 85 in Bhaktapur have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of fresh coronavirus cases in the Kathmandu valley to 1286 in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry, one more person has died as a result of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths in the country to 11,607 to date.
Meanwhile, 213 people have returned home after recovering completely from Covid-19.
