Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll now stands at 5,657, with 246 more casualties

In the previous 24 hours, 246 COVID-19 individuals have reportedly died as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The fresh deaths bring the country’s death toll to 5,657 as of Sunday afternoon, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, Nepal has registered a total of 8,173 new cases of coronavirus infection.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 8,064 people tested positive for COVID-19 using the RT-PCR method, whereas 109 used the Antigen approach.

According to the Ministry, 1,988 people in Kathmandu, 270 in Lalitpur, and 228 in Bhaktapur have tested positive for the pandemic virus, bringing the total number of novel coronavirus cases in the capital valley to 2,486 in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 7,999 people have returned home after fully recovering from COVID-19.
