A person died on Wednesday morning when a house was washed away by the floods in Ratodhunga, Malika Gaonpalika-6 of Myagdi district. 

One person has gone missing due to floods.

The house of Khagendra Roka was swept away by the flood in Kharekhola of Mangala Village Municipality-5.

Bajin, son of Khagendra of Malika-6 and his daughter-in-law Bina, who were sleeping inside the house, were washed away by the flood, said Ward Chairman of Malika-6 Santosh Subedi.


Ward Chairman Subedi said that Bajin’s body was found and went missing.

Police, people’s representatives and locals deployed from the Area Police Office Darbang have been mobilized to search for the missing and manage the houses at risk.

A house in Mangala village has also been damaged due to the flood of Kharekhola.

 The settlement of Ratodhunga, substation of 32-11 KV capacity under construction and hundreds of ropanis of arable land are at risk.

Police Inspector Santosh Poudel of the Area Police Office Darbang said that they have reached the spot to collect the details of the damage, search for the missing and manage the endangered households.
