Opposition parties seniors holding a meeting in Baneswor

At New Baneswor, three top leaders of the opposition parties are meeting.

The Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba, the CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ and the CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal are currently meeting at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneswor.

The meeting took place as opposition parties prepare to file a writ petition challenging Prime Minister KP Oli’s decision to dissolve the House of Representatives.

Legislators’ signatures have already been gathered.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari dissolved the House of Representatives on Saturday and announced elections for November 12 and November 17.
