Following an increase in coronavirus infection among school principals, founders, teachers, employees, students, and guardians, the Bhaktapur chapter of Private and Boarding Schools Organisation Nepal (PABSON) has launched a “COVID-19 financial assistance and doorstep health service” campaign.
The PABSON Bhaktapur chapter has established a “COVID-19 relief fund” to provide financial assistance to infected principals, founding members, teachers, and PABSON employees.
Surendra Shrestha, senior vice-chairperson of PABSON Bhaktapur, coordinated the formation of the PABSON COVID Relief Fund operation committee.
According to PABSON Bhaktapur chair Chandra Adhiakri, the organization has provided financial assistance to founding principals, teachers, and employees of PABSON member schools who are undergoing treatment in ICU, ventilator, and other units in the first phase.
The campaign has also aided coronavirus-infected teachers in locating and managing hospital beds, oxygen, plasma medicines, and ambulances.
Adhikari went on to say that 123 principals, teachers, and employees from member schools in the Bhaktapur chapter are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals.
