 Locals are scared after wild elephants entered the settlement of Rautahat.

Last night, a wild elephant entered the settlement through the northern area of ​​Dewahi Gonahi Municipality, passing through Shivnagar, ward no. 5 has arrived in Mithuawa.

The elephant has damaged a house in Sivanagar and eaten paddy by breaking a farmer’s bhakari in Mithuawa. The elephant is now in the Aap Bagancha near Mithuawa’s Jhanjha Bridge.

The locals had informed the police after seeing a wild elephant walking in the village.

Chief District Officer Indra Dev Yadav said that a team from the Forest Office, Nepal Army and Chitwan National Park was asked to control the elephants. He said that a team from the Forest Office and the park was on its way to Rautahat.
