Peru and Paraguay face off in the first of the Copa America quarter-finals on Friday in Goiania, with a spot in the last four on the line, Peru vs Paraguay in Nepali time
With a win on a penultimate day, Peru placed second in their group, while Paraguay ended third in Group A, only below Argentina and Uruguay.
Peru will enter this game on a high note, having won their last game to move into second place in the group stage.
Andre Carrillo, a winger, made the difference in their match against Venezuela by sweeping a loose ball in in a crowded area, eliminating their opponents.
They finished the group stage in second place with seven points, having also defeated Colombia 2-1.

In that encounter, Sergio Pena gave Ricardo Gareca’s team the lead, but Miguel Borja equalized from the penalty spot for their opponents until a Yerry Mina’s own goal restored Peru’s lead and saw them take all three points.
Los Incas will be looking to go past the quarter-finals after a solid group performance, having reached the final in the previous competition.
