Power will be cut for one day in the five districts of Karnali.
According to the Nepal Electricity Authority, Surkhet Distribution Center, the power supply will be disrupted in five districts including Surkhet from 9 am to 5 pm today.
Chief of the Surkhet Distribution Center, Tankaraj Giri, informed that the power supply was disrupted due to the cutting of tree branches in the Kohalpur-Surkhet 33 KV transmission line.
“Most of the Kohalpur-Surkhet transmission area, including Bardia National Park, is covered with forest. The power has to be cut off all day to cut the branches of the trees,” said Chief Giri.
According to him, the branches of the trees have been cut off due to strong winds during the monsoon season.
According to the office, power will be disrupted in Dailekh, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Rukumpaschim, and Salyan’s western region including Surkhet in Karnali when the Kohalpur-Surkhet power transmission is cut off.
