President to inaugurate Sindhuli Gadhi War Museum today

The construction of a war museum started by the Nepal Army in Sindhuli gadhi has been completed.

The war museum is scheduled to be inaugurated by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Wednesday. The war museum building and decoration work done by the Nepal Army with an investment of around Rs 70 million has been completed.

The Sindhuli gadhi War Museum building was constructed by New Dragon / Siddhagadhi JV Koteshwar. The building was designed by Architectural Development. Similarly, the interior decoration work has been done by Alternate Infrastructure Pvt. Dhulikhel.

The museum features wartime characters, Sindhuligadhi war events, war scenes in the eyes of soldiers, Sindhuli gadhi war documentaries, phased war pictures, home weapons used in the war, wartime weapons, cannons used by the British, Nepali warriors, British warriors, Nepali warrior art, Mithila art, Pillars, wartime inscriptions, historical documents and a library of history are named after the British.

The foundation stone of the Sindhuli gadhi War Museum was laid by former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Ishwor Pokharel on November 9, 2016.

According to sources, the Gurkha army led by Bansu Gurung defeated the British army equipped with modern weapons led by Captain Kinlock of the East India Company to capture Kathmandu in the battle of Sindhuligadhi during the unification of Nepal in 1824 BS.
