Prime Minister KP Oli has been able to turn the game to his favor only 72 hours after he had not obtained the support of the House of Representatives by creating an environment favorable once more to be prime minister.

PM Oli remained engaged in political maneuvers and conversations with his leaders, including Madhav Kumar Nepal, and with the dissenters.

Constitutional experts meanwhile, do not say that, on Thursday, President Bidya Devi Bhandari, pursuant to Article 76(2) of the Constitution, the opposition party cannot make a claim on the government within the time constraint of 9 p.m.

Now, even if the legislators of the Madhav Nepal party now resign themselves to the Speaker, the legal experts have to tell us that this will only be effective Friday.

This means that, as soon as the term of office given by the President expires at 21 pm, the way was set for PM Oli himself to be sworn in as leader of the biggest partisan in Article 76 (3).

The President of CPN-UML Oli revoked the suspension of Madhav Nepal, Bhim Rawal, Ghanshyam Bhusal, and Surendra Pandey on Thursday morning, pointing out that he was flexible for party unity and that he had left his previous tough position.

Since the Nepalese Congress and Maoist Centre, which were unable to obtain a majority in favor of governmental formation, are re-appointed Prime Minister Oli.

On the one hand, JSP’s Mahantha Thakur faction could not be won by the NC and Maoist Centre, and on the other hand, CPN-Madhav UML’s Kumar. Nepalese faction legislators have said they would not resign on mass after PM Oli and Nepali leaders agree to form a task force to re-establish the status in the party committees by 16 May 2018.
