Prime Minister not attending a meeting convened by the Speaker

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will not attend the meeting of top leaders convened by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.

Speaker Sapkota has invited former Prime Minister and top leaders of various parties including Prime Minister Oli for a discussion.

According to the Speaker’s Secretariat, a letter has been sent to all the leaders to attend the meeting on Wednesday. The meeting will be held at 2 pm in the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament House.

A leader of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat said that Prime Minister Oli would not participate in today’s meeting.

Speaker Sapkota called on the leaders of all parties, including the former prime minister, to discuss the situation after the dissolution of the House of Representatives and the latest political developments.

Earlier, Speaker Sapkota had held discussions with former speakers as well as legal experts. After discussions with top leaders, Speaker Sapkota is preparing to hold discussions with journalists and civil society leaders.
