The Jaya Prithvi Highway, which was blocked for five days due to flooding, has been re-opened.

The highway in Patan Municipality-8 Jhaulek was blocked due to continuous rain since last Sunday.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office Bodhraj Ojha informed that the highway came into operation from today after demolishing the flooded road and putting up a wall from the side of the road.

He said, “After the completion of the construction of the wall, full traffic has started on the highway.”

Vehicles going to Bajhang and leaving for Kathmandu, Dhangadhi, Mahendranagar, Dadeldhura, Baitdil and other places have left Bajhang after the highway was opened.
