Pushpa Bhandari of Nepal wins bronze in the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon 2022 in Bangladesh.
Pushpa Bhandari came in third place in the South Asian category. She won gold in the same event last year.
Bhandari finished the race in 2 hours, 55 minutes, and 35 seconds. Last year, she ran the same distance in 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 41 seconds.
The Nepali team’s coach, Chandra Gurung, stated that the Indian runners performed well this time. Aarti Dattatraya Patil of India won the gold medal in 2 hours 53 minutes and 28 seconds, while Jyoti Gawate of India took silver in 2 hours 54 minutes and 15 seconds.
Similarly, two male Nepalese players, Kiran Singh Bogati and Bugatha Srinu have played in the South Asian quota. Bogati finished the race in 2 hours, 23 minutes, and 43 seconds, finishing fifth, and Srinu won gold in 2 hours, 16 minutes, and 26 seconds.
