Rally in Dhangadhi against fuel price hike

June 6, Dhangadhi. Demonstrations have also taken place in Dhangadhi, the provisional capital of the far-western states, against the rise in prices of petroleum products.

The main opposition party CPN-UML affiliated ANNFSU and National Youth Association Nepal Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan Committee have jointly staged a protest along with a procession.

They have also marched from the Mahalaxmi Development Bank in Dhangadhi Bazaar to the Chief Minister’s Office and chanted slogans against Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatt and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Addressing a protest rally in front of the Chief Minister’s Office, ANUSAVU Municipal Chairman Nitis Joshi said that the struggle would continue till the Deuba government demanded immediate withdrawal of the exorbitant price of petroleum products.

Addressing the corner meeting, Abishek Nath ‘Loku’, city coordinator of the National Youth Association of Nepal, also demanded to take back the price hike as the Deuba government has repeatedly increased the price of fuel to the detriment of the people.
