The team that will reach the final of the ongoing SAFF Championship Football in the Maldives is being decided today.

In the final match of the round-robin league, Nepal will play Bangladesh and Maldives will play India at 4:45 pm at the National Stadium in Male for SAFF Championship.

Nepal will be aiming for a historic achievement when they take the field against Bangladesh. Nepal has not yet made it to the finals of the SAFF Championship. However, a draw or victory against Bangladesh will result in Nepal reaching the final for the first time.

Nepal has not been able to advance beyond the semi-finals. Kiran Shrestha, assistant coach of the Nepali national football team, said that they would get good results against Bangladesh to enter the final.

Nepal and Maldives, who have added 6-6 points, will reach the final with a draw, while India and Bangladesh have no choice but to win. In the competition, Nepal is in second place with 6 points in 3 games. Now Nepal needs only one point to reach the final.

The Maldives with 6 points is leading in goal difference. India is third with 5 points and Bangladesh is fourth with 4 points. Nepal had won the first two games in a row. Nepal defeated Maldives 1-0 and Sri Lanka 3-2. In the third match, Nepal lost to India 1-0 last Sunday.

The best two teams from the five-nation competition will reach the final.
