Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has announced that he will represent Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in 2021.
The CPL confirmed Lamichhane’s participation in the Trinbago Twenty20 match in a notice issued on Tuesday.
Trinbago has already retained 11 players from last year’s champions, including spinners Sunil Narine and Khary Pierre.
Kieron Pollard captains the Trinbago team, which includes Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza, America’s Ali Khan, and New Zealand’s Ballina Manor.
Trinbago is the Kolkata Night Riders franchise team owned by renowned Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and her husband Jay Mehta. The team’s coach is Brendon McCullum.
Sandeep, who has previously played in the CPL with three different teams, was recently released by Jamaica Tallawahz.
