Shareholder Koirala breaks hunger strike on 10th day - Online Khabar

July 10, Kathmandu. Tilak Koirala, who has been on death row for 10 days demanding various reforms in the capital market, has broken his fast.

Chairman of the Nepal Securities Board Ramesh Kumar Hamal broke the fast on Friday by giving juice to Tilak Koirala, coordinator of the Capital Market Reform Struggle Committee. Koirala broke the strike after reaching a 19-point agreement with the board.

Koirala has agreed to break the strike after the Nepal Securities Board (NSB) formed an implementation committee to meet the demands of the struggle committee. Before breaking the strike, Board Chairman Hamal had promised to start work from Sunday to fulfill the 19-point demand raised by the investors.

Koirala, who has been on strike at the board premises since July 20, has responded that his demands have been met after breaking the strike.

After breaking the strike, Koirala wrote on Facebook, “Congratulations to all, the 19-point demand was met and the capital market won. I broke the strike.”
