The Supreme Court (SC) has set Thursday and Friday as hearing dates for 30 writ petitions filed against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).
According to SC information specialist Kishor Paudel, 19 writs petitions will be heard on Thursday (May 27) and 11 on Friday.
Similarly, out of 30 writs, 19 have been filed seeking an interim order on the dissolution of the HoR, while 11 have been submitted requesting that the writs be heard by the Constitutional Bench.
The majority of the cases have been submitted in support of the reinstatement of the HoR, while a handful have been brought in support of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, requesting that the elections be held on time. The bench to hear the writ petitions will be set on the designated dates, according to the Supreme Court.
