Kathmandu. Author Suresh Pranjali’s novel ‘Panighatta’ has been released. Immigration expert Ganesh Gurung, writer and actor Khagendra Lamichhane, folk singer Sharmila Gurung and writer Suresh Pranjali jointly unveiled the book at a function organized at Nepal Pragya Pratisthan.
In the program, actor Lamichhane interacted with author Pranjali focusing on the book and its dialect. Immigration expert Ganesh Gurung said that Pranjali’s novel subtly depicts the love story of an era. He also said that the novel is good in terms of linguistic beauty.
Actor Lamichhane said that while reading the novel, the story of his own society seemed to come before his own eyes.
In the program, author Pranjali said that she has been interested in reading about Gurung community and anti-culture since childhood and since she felt the lack of it, she decided to write a novel herself. He also said that he has written Panighatta that Gurung culture should be brought in the mainstream literature.
‘Pani Ghatta’ is Pranjali’s second novel.
