Susan Jacks began her professional career when she was invited to be a regular performer on Music Hop, a national Canadian television series, when she was 15 years old.

Jacks was inducted into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame on June 27, 2010. Her album Dream, which was first released in 1976 but was mysteriously taken off the market, was re-released in 2015.
