Sydney Brooke Simpson is one of OJ and Nicole Brown Simpson’s two children. On June 12, 1994, she and her brother Justin were eight and five years old.
Respectively, their mother was brutally murdered at her home with her friend Ron Goldman. But the children’s problems did not end there.
In reality, their mother’s terrible death exacerbated the family’s problems. Nicole Simpson’s children were not only had to deal with the fact that they would never see their mother again but they were also forced to watch as their father, retired NFL superstar O. J., was accused of the murders and finally acquitted.

Her mother’s death and father’s incarceration
Nicole Brown, O.J. Simpson’s ex-wife, and her friend Ron Goldman were found dead with numerous knife wounds outside Brown’s condominium on June 13, 1994. Police suspected O.J. almost immediately. His relationship with Brown had been extremely abusive, and O.J. continued to torment Brown after the divorce.
This resulted in the widely famous OJ Simpson trial, dubbed “The Trial of the Century.” While their father and his “Dream Team” of defense attorneys battled the case, Sydney and her brother Justin were kept out of the spotlight by family members.
