July 9, Kathmandu. The first dose of corona vaccine has been started for children between the ages of 5 and 11 from today. Arrangements have been made to vaccinate the children in the school where they are studying.
Children will be given Pfizer-Bioentech vaccine. The vaccine should be given to children in two doses of 0.2 ml.
Chief Basanta Adhikari of the District Health Office, Kathmandu, said that the effectiveness of the vaccine was 91 percent and urged to use it with confidence.
In the first phase, the first dose will be given in 27 districts including Kathmandu Valley from 9 to 15 July and the second dose will be given from 2 to 8 July.
In the rest of the districts, the Ministry of Health and Population is preparing to give the first dose from September 20 to September 11 and the second dose from September 12 to September 20.
