The ruling coalition is meeting in Baluwatar at the Prime Minister’s official residence.

The high-level political coordination committee is meeting to discuss the possibility of forming an alliance in the National Assembly election and ending the parliamentary stalemate.

According to a Baluwatar source, the ruling coalition meeting is also discussing current issues.

The main opposition in Parliament, the CPN-UML, has consistently obstructed House proceedings, accusing Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota of bias.

Despite the Election Commission‘s recommendation that the dates of local elections be announced, the government has yet to do so.

According to Baluwatar sources, the meeting will also include Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda,” and Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal.
