Two children have been injured in a lightning strike in Janakpurdham.

Rahan Safi, 11, and Shahid Sheikh, 12, of Pulchowk, Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolis-1 were injured in the lightning strike on Friday afternoon, said Makendra Mishra, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Dhanusha.

Both the children have been injured in a lightning strike near the railway station. Both the children were injured when lightning struck a poplar tree.

Spokesperson Mishra said that the condition of Rahan Safi was critical. Both are undergoing treatment at the local Ramjanki Hospital.
