A meeting of the Central Committee of the CPN-UML has concluded deciding to continue the efforts of party, UML unity.
The meeting also tasked Chairman KP Sharma Oli to continue the party unity effort.
The tenth meeting of the Central Committee held on Thursday gave a general amnesty for party unity but gave the responsibility to Chairman Oli to include many people.
During the meeting, party president KP Sharma Oli said that those who want to come to unity to strengthen unity can be welcomed by forgetting the mistakes of the past, said spokesperson Gyawali.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, UML spokesperson Pradip Gyawali said that the meeting concluded that the incidents of violation of discipline could be forgiven saying that maximum efforts would be made for party unity.
“At the very least, the meeting has concluded that the leadership will do its utmost to bring the party together,” Gyawali said.
