July 10, Kathmandu. The Flood Forecast Division of the Department of Water and Meteorology has urged the coastal areas to be vigilant as the water level in Narayani and its small tributaries is likely to rise significantly from today.
The department has forecast that the water level in Narayani and its small tributaries may rise to the alert level. Therefore, the branch has issued a notice urging not to engage in activities in the riverine areas or to adopt high vigilance if necessary.

Similarly, Chatra of Saptakoshi, Simle of Arun, Chisapani and Asaraghat of Karnali, Samjighat of Bheri, Dipayal of West Seti, Parigaun of Mahakali and Chepang of Babai are forecast to rise normally. These rivers will be at low risk today and tomorrow, the department said.
