US Assistant Secretary of State Lu meets Prime Minister

Donald Lu, the US assistant secretary of state for South and Central Asian affairs, has been in Kathmandu on an official visit since Wednesday.

According to the PM’s secretariat, Lu will meet with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lu will pay a courtesy call to Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka on Friday.







During his trip, he will also monitor and assess the progress of US-assisted development projects in Nepal. According to the US Embassy in Kathmandu, he will also visit heritage sites. US Assistant Secretary

Similarly, Kelly Keiderling, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs, will arrive in Kathmandu on Thursday. Upon her arrival, she will meet with Nepali officials and emerging civil society leaders.
