1.5 million doses of vaccine provided by the United States arrived in Kathmandu

Vaccines against Covid-19 provided by the United States has arrived in Kathmandu.

According to Dev Chandralal Karna, spokesperson of the Tribhuvan International Airport Office, the Qatar Air flight arrived in Kathmandu at 9.45 am carrying 1.534 million 850 doses of vaccine from the American vaccine manufacturer Johnson & Johnson.

At the Tribhuvan Airport, US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry held a press conference and handed over the vaccine to Health Minister Krishna Gopal Shrestha.

The vaccine, developed by Johnson & Johnson Company in the United States, is said to be effective.

US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry has informed that 15 lakh 34 thousand eight hundred and fifty doses of Covid-19 vaccine of Johnson & Johnson Company have arrived in Kathmandu.

He said that this one-time vaccine would be enough to give a full dose to more than 15 lakh 34 thousand Nepalis.

He hopes that this moment, which has been another milestone in the nearly 75-year-old warm Nepal-US relationship, will be an important step towards ending the epidemic, recovering from economic losses, and normalizing public life as before.
