Vietnam detected a new UK-Indian variant

According to the BBC, Vietnam has discovered a new Covid strain that appears to be a cross between the UK and Indian varieties and can spread swiftly by air

Nguyen Thanh Long, Vietnam’s Health Minister, described the newest mutation as “very dangerous.”

Viruses mutate all the time, according to the paper, and the majority of versions are insignificant.

Some can make a virus more contagious, according to the report.

“Vietnam has discovered a new Covid-19 variation that combines characteristics of two previously discovered variations in India and the United Kingdom,” Nguyen told Reuters.

Nguyen further stated that the new hybrid type was more transmissible than prior variants, particularly in the air.
