Water flow in the Tamakoshi River has stopped, raising concerns

The District Administration Office, Dolakha, has urged the residents of the area to remain vigilant as the Tamakoshi River could flood at any time.

According to the District Administration Office, Dolakha, the river has stopped flowing due to the landslide along with heavy rains in and around the town of Rongjia in the Nepal-China border area.

The district administration office issued a notice on Friday night urging to be vigilant and move to a safe place as soon as any danger signal is received as there may be a risk in the settlements along the Nepal-China border and on the banks of the Tamakoshi River.

The administration has also requested the residents of the coastal area to coordinate with the local level officials and security agencies.
